Peragro Media Inc.
My company in Canada is Peragro Media Inc. Peragro, the latin word for ‘to travel through’, is my main focus of my time and more will be appearing on its sparse website soon.
Trail Canada
During my time travelling in Canada in 2002 I created an online travel diary and photo gallery. Over time and with a fair amount of effort this website has grown into Canada’s most popular independent travel guide. With a variety of websites supporting the main Trail Canada website, I have built up an unrivalled presence in the Canadian travel market.
Canada Events
My latest venture is Canada Events - Canada’s local event and entertainment guide.
GoEffect
I am co-owner of Internet marketing company called GoEffect which provides internet marketing strategy consultancy, creation, management and implementation. Our services cover a wide range of specialist techniques which include search engine optimisation, online public relations, advertising, branding, content writing / enhancing and link building.
I started GoEffect with Rob Hilken to meet the increasing needs of our own travel businesses and in response to the obvious demand from many other large travel companies.
Our clients are in the travel industry and include some of the busiest travel websites on the internet, official portals and privately operated website networks from across the world. Our services are only available through partner agencies.
The past
My past work has included HotScot Technology, an Internet services firm providing solutions to the Scottish tourism, outdoor and recreation industry. I was headhunted by HotScot and work as a solutions developer. My roles cover many areas from internal communications, product development and assisting in other areas of the business based on my previous experience.
I have also worked at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young in the Lloyds Register and Management Information Services departments.
I started my own company, Cali Net, in 1998 and held the position as director of operations after incorporation. Today the company is the largest and most successful in the industry with an impressive client base and with a unique service offering.
