Pumpkins at the orchard

Pumpkins at the orchard, originally uploaded by jamesshearer.

Around about Thanks Giving, Vanessa, Rob and I were driving from Vancouver to the Okanagan. The route took us along BC Highway 3 known as the Crowsnest Highway.

Just as the highway splits at Keremeos we came across a bright orange collection of pumpkins along the side of the highway.

Amongst the pumpkins were ancient tractors at the edge of an apple orchard. We stopped, took some photos, bought some fruit and were on our way. Apparently this is one of the best places in British Columbia to get fresh apples, pears and other fruits.

If you are taking Highway 3 in the Summer/Autumn months, keep a look out for the fresh fruit stands located along this highway between Hedley and Osoyoos.

Welcome to my website. I have had a personal website since 1998 and over the years it has changed dramatically. At the moment I have settled with a Wordpress blog platform and Flickr for my photos.
I will be updating the site as regularly as possible, mostly with travel tales and pics. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think.
